THE CHURCH AT THE CROSSROADS APPEAL
St James’ Church is a Grade 2 Listed Building, built in 1875.
It is at the heart of the village, both for worship and for concerts and other community events.
- Your help is needed if it is to continue to serve for another 130 years
- The heating system is old, unreliable and unable to heat the church adequately
- The lighting is poor
- The electrics need urgent renewal
WHAT WILL THIS COST?
- Electrics and lighting £19,000
- The heating system £30,000
WHERE WILL THE MONEY COME FROM?
- We have been awarded grants of £6,500, which must be used by the end of 2006
- We have reserves of £10,000 built up over time
- This leaves a shortfall of £32,000 which we need to raise with your help
- If we raise just £2,500 we can renew the electrics and lighting immediately
Additional commitments to donate a sum for each of the next few years would enable us to apply for further grants, to borrow money and begin to upgrade the heating this year as well
HOW TO MAKE YOUR DONATION
Donations may be handed in at the church on Tuesday 6th and 13th June from 10am to 4pm
Alternatively they may be sent to The Treasurer, Barry Newbold, Rye Court Lodge, Gloucester Road, Berrow, WR13 6AE
